The Global FemART project has come to the end of its funded period, but what an adventure it has been! Over the past couple of years, partner organisations in the UK, Italy, Poland, Spain and Belgium have met so many incredible artists and creatives, had the pleasure on conducting the Artist Circles™ with them and enabling so many others to explore the Global FemART modules on the learning and networking platform!
Over 50 female artists and creatives were involved in the Artist Circles™, exploring their goals and next steps towards business development, growth and internationalisation! Moreover, the partnership developed a multifunctional platform for artists and creatives, giving access to a multitude of learning modules, resources and quizzes to test knowledge, as well as a space to promote work, websites and network with other artists and creatives! With the help of 55 artists and creatives, this platform has been developed and finalised with the current needs of artists in mind.
Why not create your own profile and post about your own creative business – you never know where it could take you!
This project has also allowed the partnership to host events to showcase the project results in each of the partner countries, as well as an online International Networking Circle, which enabled artists and creatives to continue networking, despite the challenges of Covid-19.
And finally, this project recently hosted an online Exhibition Event to showcase amazing artistic and creative talent! As part of this event, an Exhibition Booklet was developed. Check it out here.

Whilst the project may be coming to an end, all the developed materials are still available to use, including the learning platform, Artist Circles™ guide to facilitation and all the developed resources from the partnership! Monday 22nd March 2021 marked the ‘International Networking Circle’, a one off event by the Global FemART Erasmus+ project. In response to Covid-19 restrictions, this event was successfully held on Zoom, and proved to be an enriching and overwhelmingly positive experience for all.
The International Networking Circle was hosted by 4 of the 5 European partners involved in the project: Inova Consultancy (UK), ARTeria (Poland), Materhub (Italy) and FyG Consultores (Spain). The participants included 13 artists and creatives from across the four partner countries, many of whom had previously attended the Global FemART Artist CirclesTM.
The event was designed to allow female artists and creatives to meet and share experiences with each other, as well as offer tips as female business owners and developers. Furthermore, each artist was allocated time to share her business and creative work with the group. This proved to be an incredibly encouraging and celebratory process for all involved. During the session, participants also created mind maps and vision boards in order to reflect on their business and plan how they would like it to develop and expand in the future, in regard to globalisation and internationalisation. Following this, they were invited to share their mind maps, which opened up further group discussion. After this, the women were given the opportunity to network with each other outside of the official event, as the Zoom room was kept open.
Facilitators and partners alike highlighted the great success of the event, commenting on the positive delivery and how useful online working was and would be in supporting the sustainability of networking between female artists and creatives, especially during this
Covid period. Likewise,the evaluations and testimonials provided by participants made it clear that they enjoyed the event immensely. Here are some of the comments below:

Overall, the Global FemART International Networking Circle was a brilliant opportunity to allow female artists and creatives from across Europe to come together online, against the odds of the pandemic, in an enriching environment and celebrate their success, talent and achievements.
As part of the Global FemART project, participants in the UK, Spain, Italy and Poland took part in a series of Artist CirclesTM. These sessions aim to help female artists and creatives to share experiences, gain support from those in similar situations, and develop key soft skills such as self-confidence, self-efficacy and motivation for goal setting. From these sessions, plans and ideas were put in place to explore business development and internationalisation.

Further to gaining a glimpse of so many wonderful pieces of art, you will also be fortunate enough to experience the stories of amazing guest speakers and their journeys into creative business ownership; a truly inspiring experience and one which will certainly prove crucial if you hold similar ambitions!
Not only is this a brilliant opportunity to celebrate female art and creativity but also a marvellous opportunity to support our Global FemArt project which aims at creating conversations about the gender inequality and underrepresentation of woman in creative fields by inspiring and coaching more women towards taking the leap into globalised trade and helping to bridge the creative sector’s gender gap.

Further to the amazing experiences outlined above, we believe our exhibition event could prove as an amazing event to launch networking for all – with potential to meet with other exceptional creatives in attendance. Following the exhibitions and guest speakers, 30 minutes of networking time is allocated for you; an excellent opportunity to connect with others whom you may choose to collaborate with in the future or to praise the work of the artists and creatives in attendance.
